Haynes 230 (UNS N06230 / W.Nr. 2.4733) is a nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy with excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to 1149°C. The tungsten addition provides solid-solution strengthening while chromium and lanthanum enhance oxidation resistance.

Corrosion Resistance

Outstanding oxidation resistance up to 1149°C, superior to many competing alloys. Excellent resistance to nitridation and carburization. Good resistance to molten salts. The lanthanum addition improves scale adhesion and spalling resistance under thermal cycling.
