Aerospace-Grade Superalloys

Aerospace & Defense Nickel Alloy Solutions

From turbine discs spinning at 15,000 RPM to rocket engine thrust chambers at 1,600°C, aerospace demands materials that never fail. Hangbo Alloy Group supplies flight-critical nickel superalloys certified to AMS, GE, PWA, and Rolls-Royce specifications.

⚠ The Engineering Challenge

Aerospace engines operate at temperatures exceeding 70% of the alloy melting point. Components face cyclic thermal stress, centrifugal loads, oxidation, and creep — simultaneously. Material certification is non-negotiable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What nickel alloy grades do you supply for aerospace?

Inconel 718, 625, X-750; Waspaloy; Rene 41; Haynes 188; Nimonic 90; Udimet 720; and 50+ other aerospace superalloys. All melted to AMS specifications with full traceability from ingot to finished product.

Are your aerospace alloys certified to AMS specifications?

Yes. All material is melted, processed, and tested to applicable AMS specifications. Certificates include heat chemistry, mechanical properties, NDT, and origin. NADCAP-certified heat treatment and NDT available.

What is the MOQ for aerospace alloys?

25 kg for standard bar/sheet, 50 kg for custom forgings, 100 kg for vacuum-melted specialty grades. Prototype and R&D quantities available.

Can you supply material with GE, PWA, or Rolls-Royce approvals?

We supply material to GE S400/S1000, PWA, and Rolls-Royce MSRR specs. Approved supplier status maintained for select grades.

What product forms are available?

Round bar (3-500mm), plate/sheet (0.5-80mm), seamless tube/pipe, precision strip, forgings (rings, discs, shafts), welding wire. Close-tolerance machining available.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard grades (718, 625): 2-3 weeks. Specialty (Waspaloy, Rene 41): 4-8 weeks. Custom forgings: 8-12 weeks. AOG expedited delivery available.

Do you provide VIM/VAR material?

Yes. VIM+VAR double-melted material for critical aerospace applications. Triple-melt (VIM+ESR+VAR) for PM disc alloys. Melt records with every shipment.

How do you handle NADCAP heat treatment?

NADCAP-accredited facilities for solution annealing, aging, stress-relief. Furnace charts, thermocouple calibration, AMS2750 pyrometry records.

What testing is performed?

Full mechanical (tensile, yield, elongation, RA), hardness, grain size, NDT (ultrasonic, penetrant, magnetic particle), microstructure per AMS 2380.

Can you supply full material traceability?

Every shipment includes certified MTR with heat number, melt method, chemistry, properties, NDT, heat treat records, country of origin. Full ingot-to-product traceability.
